Studies show that kids who study music perform better in reading, writing and arithmetic. But ironically, today many schools are cutting their music programs to focus on "core curriculum." Communities in Schools and Travis County Collaborative AfterSchool Project (TCCAP)
TCCAP is a collaboration of Communities In Schools, Austin ISD, the Center for At-Risk Youth (CARY), and the Boys and Girls Club. Communities In Schools is at the cornerstone of this partnership, with on-campus staff at Pearce and Webb providing referrals and services to students in need during and after school.

BGCAA has been chosen as a nonprofit partner for a new social media website, www.RecognizeGood.org.
